On the front of this Police Medal is a woman standing as a guardian with her sword and shield over a mother and child.

Inscribed around the medal is POLICE FRANÇAISE and signed by L. COUDRAY

On the obverse it is inscribed MINISTERE DE L’INTERIEUR and REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE on its original ribbon with pin.

This medal was normally given as a long service award "20 years" but  it also was issued for acts of bravery

This police medal measures 27mm across the diameter and is in excellent condition.
