Harald Salomon 1900-1992 a Norwegian started his career with the Royal Mint while still at college and became chief medallion engraver in 1930

Solomon was considered the most significant Danish medallion makers of the 20th century. His mark on the coins was S or HS

A number of his works were created for Royal Memorial days, others to honour famous men in the past and present, one of his more notable was his 1975 Winston Churchill medallion displayed at the FIDEM exhibition in Paris 1967.
